There has long been a contention around whether you should list or not list your hobbies in a resume.
Some people argue that it demonstrates a candidates ability to take on board more than one facet in their life and gives insight into the ‘bigger picture’. Whilst other professionals argue that it is irrelevant to know whether or not ‘Joe Blogs’ can cook a BBQ on a Saturday afternoon whilst playing cricket?
So if you really feel like disclosing some extra curricular activities on your resume, ensure that they are at least relevant to the role. For example; if you are applying for a Library Assistant role, it may be beneficial to know that you attend regular book clubs and enjoy reading.
